EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A dead male was found in a canal on Thursday morning, April 11 in Socorro, according to the Socorro Police Department.
The Police Department says at around 7 a.m., officers were called to the 11200 block of Santa Barbara in reference to a person in a canal.
Upon arrival, officers found a dead male in the canal, according to the Police Department.
The Police Department says although the investigation is ongoing, it appears the male was a migrant who had fallen into the canal and drowned.
The Police Department did not specify on the male’s age.
No further information has been released.
