EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – We are a step closer to the winter wonderland! The Lights on the Lake is coming back to the Borderland this weekend.
The Lights on the Lake 2024 will run from Saturday, Dec. 7 to Monday, Jan. 6, at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta Dr., the El Paso County Parks & Recreation announced in a news release.
The free drive-thru event will be available every evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., where magical displays will transform Ascarate Park into a glowing spectacle.
In the spirit of the season, three special events will also be hosted to bring the community together:
Opening ceremony: Saturday, Dec. 7
Winter Posada: Saturday, Dec. 14
Cookies with Santa: Saturday, Dec. 21
During the opening ceremony on Dec. 7, a Canine Paw-rade will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. The community will have the chance to strut with their pups from the Blue Gill to the Holiday Tree.
The County said all pets must be leashed and costumes should avoid electrical lights and glow sticks for safety.
Each special event will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. and will feature light shows, food trucks, and live music to set the perfect holiday vibe, the County said.
