EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso Museum and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) is accepting vendor applications for Chalk the Block and Día de los Muertos events, according to the news release on Thursday, June 19.
According to the news release by the City of El Paso, MCAD is inviting artisan vendors, cottage food vendors, and food trucks to apply for Chalk the Block and Día de los Muertos.
Chalk the Block is the region’s largest public arts festival, drawing over 45,000 attendees and nearly 200 artists to Downtown El Paso annually, the City said. The 18th annual event will be held Oct. 11-12.
Vendors and food trucks interested in applying for Chalk the Block, the application deadline is on Thursday, July 31, the City said. You can apply here.
Chalk artists interested in participating in the event can apply through it’s website.
The Día de los Muertos parade will be held on Nov. 1 and will be centered around the newly opened Mexican American Cultural Center, the City said.
