EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Spooky season is finally here, and Western Playland will be celebrating all month long with activities for the entire family.
Sweet treats by day
During the day, kids will enjoy a trick or treat trail from 2 to 6 p.m. with friendly characters lining up to hand out heaps of candy with costumes ranging from superheroes to ghouls.
This is the perfect way to let families with young children celebrate Halloween without the fear factor.
Freaky frights by night
When the sun sets, scare actors, fog, and special effects create intense scare zones throughout the park.
You can also enjoy the Haunted Asylum from 6 to 10 p.m., but beware! The amusement park said it’s not for the faint of heart. Tickets are sold separately; for more information, visit here.
Food and drinks with a creepy twist
A full celebration is not complete without delicious, themed snacks and drinks. This year’s theme menu items include eyeball pizza, monster burgers, graveyard nachos, and witches chicken fingers. You can wash it all down with beverages like Dracula’s blood, poison apple, or vampire venom.
Capture the memories
While visiting the amusement park, you will also find photo opportunities from giant pumpkins to eerie backdrops.
In addition, admission covers both the day and nighttime events, but the freaky frights by night are designed for older audiences, according to the amusement park.
